POST PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

The Look is seeking a post production coordinator to join its growing team and help service our amazing clients. The successful candidate will have a love of episodic drama and feature films and a minimum of 2 years experience in picture post production. 

Our post coordinators are responsible for supporting the post producers in delivering projects to the end client. On occasion our coordinators take the lead with clients when the producer is unavailable. They will be expected to have a full working knowledge of production workflows and how best to utilise resources in order to deliver projects on budget and to specification.

Salary based on experience & qualifications: £29,000-32,000k

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to
    • Managing bookings team for facility 
    • Effectively utilising resources  to manage work through the facility to project delivery
    • Leading bookings assistants
    • Managing client bookings
    • Managing client data and editorial hand over for instructing in house staff – Matrix
    • Reporting project  progress to client
    • Managing project specific overages for billing
    • Attending workflow meetings, spotting sessions and online sessions
    • Liaising with the client (specifically PPS) to problem solve and organise
    • Creating quotes for new and repeat business as required
    • Negotiation with resource and client for best project results
    • Eligible to work in the UK

    • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information

CARDIFF TECHNICAL OPERATOR

The Look are searching for a highly motivated, technically minded operator to join our rapidly expanding company. The successful candidate will join the small dynamic team in our Tech Operations department in Cardiff.

As well as a technical aptitude, the ideal candidate should have ambition and drive to help us produce and deliver some of the UK’s top quality TV shows, often with tight deadlines. We’re looking for a combination of technical, organisational and creative skills. As part of their ongoing development in this role, the successful applicant will be given regular training to continually develop their knowledge of all the systems, processes and services we employ at The Look. This role is intended to grow as experience is gained. 

Salary dependant on experience & qualifications £20,000-21,500k.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to
  • Managing client assets in and out of the facility
  • Managing data on our network
  • Managing our tape archive
  • Use cloud tools to localise and deliver client data
  • Heavy communication internally with cross-functional teams to strategise operations based on a changing workload
  • Managing and archiving media on our grading and finishing system
Qualifications/Requirements
  • BA/BS degree preferred but not essential
  • Flexible, creative, solution-oriented individual
  • Work experience within the entertainment industry with a general understanding of the film and television landscapes
  • Basic understanding of video codecs and containers
  • Willingness to work to an alternating shift pattern (anywhere between the hours of 7am-12pm)
  • Local to the Cardiff area or able to drive and owner of or access to a vehicle
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Team-player who operates effectively in a fast-paced collaborative setting
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
  • Appreciation of the importance of diversity and inclusion
  • Understanding of how to prioritise and respond accordingly
